Sick at home yet again today. Yesterday I was running on fumes at work, still mustered 10 hours somehow. And I was feeling better but then shit hit the fan last night with more fevers, freaky nightmares, and nonstop coughing. I’ve been laying down for every moment of the last week outside of 20 hours of work, bathroom breaks, and that one time I made a sandwich.

I have re-watched so many episodes of Jay Leno’s Garage that I’m starting to think that I’m an Espada. Also pets are fucking annoying as hell when you can’t move. It’s difficult to relax when you’ve got a hyper-active 6-month old puppy that’s getting all fussy and whiny. “Why haven’t we gone for a walk? Why haven’t we gone for a drive? Why are you laying in bed in an adjacent room where I can’t see you? TIME TO START WHINING OFF AND ON ALL DAY!” Having her in the room with me was actually a much larger disaster. Just feel bad because she has to be crated for most of the day, as I can’t really move.

Hanging out with the dog in the bonus room for as long as I can muster before I put her back to bed. Because I need to lie down again soon.

Feel better. And if you haven’t seen Car SOS, seek it out on NatGeo or YouTube. A master mechanic and another restore the dream cars of someone down on their luck. Have at least a half box of Kleenex at hand.

10 hours? Is that normal in the US? Including my 30 minute lunch my normal shift is 8 and a half hours.

Fair enough, the average contract over here is 37.5, I’ve had 39 but never 40.
